Re: Extending Unemployment Insurance Debated on Fox
I think they are having greg on to get their ratings up...who on gods green earth would watch this varney bad person...i was going to email fox, but i wouldnt give them the satisfaction, they know exactly what they are doing they dont need to hear from me,..
painful watching...love the ad...love it...especially the more i see it is burning up varney, the more i love it...whether it is right or wrong...it is an effective ad...I am not into that kind of showmanship throwing people off a cliff...but it is a genius ad...love it love it love it...and i am a conservative, i love it...if the republicans are so stupid then they get what they deserve...
Beck will be going soon, varney will be going it is just a matter of time.

Re: Extending Unemployment Insurance Debated on Fox
I really can't watch this anymore after that last viewer comment about the seniors not suffering - "watch who gets off the tour buses at the casinos".
Give me a break! After working all your life and paying into the system, plus their own retirement funds, they deserve a day at a casino!

No, Gregg told us he would be on Fox Business today, further details to follow, and we assumed it would be Varney & Co. again since he has appeared on that show several times. Hoping to get an update from him soon!

I cut it off before the end because AS I said, it was useless. Gregg, said what many dem. congressman said and have been saying and he walked into a hostile environment. Also the interviewer didn't even support anything he said. He also ask Gregg if he was working and G said yes. Nothing was achieved. I admire Gregg for having the courage to go into that atmosphere. But it was no win situation and DID NOT help our cause at all! If anything it hurt us! What did we convince them of!

Re: Extending Unemployment Insurance Debated on Fox
There was NOTHING to show or reflect any hardships to the one affected the worst! Those going through the true pain and about to be kicked out of their homes and becoming homeless and even not able to find jobs! the true and real hardships. Not able to find jobs and a economy that is hanging on but NOT creating jobs!!!

I believe I heard him discuss the fact that on McDonald's National Hiring Day for 50,000 positions, ONE MILLION people applied - and they weren't just teenagers looking for part-time jobs.

Thats the message! Not if the gov. gives more benefits it spreads money and people can spend in the economy. Heck, its about survival! No wonder they took the negative stance they did! What is our true message and reality???? If we don't have that answered then its hopeless. To ask them for money to spend in the economy . The commentator was right. So take from others pocketbooks and give to the unemployed to spend!! Wrong message!

Re: Extending Unemployment Insurance Debated on Fox
I said what I said with respect. I do not know what fairytail land you want to live in but if there is a remote chance 589 is going to have a chance its going to take more convincing than that! Its about hurt and pain and NO jobs and LONG term without income and survival.. NOT about give us money so we can spend!!!Thats my take and I respect Gregg, it takes courage to go into that atmosphere. especially when there is little chance of winning that argument! Suppose you tell me of how it helps!
Oh! Where it hurts, he ask gregg if he was working, and I am sure that brought up the question : If your working then how can you say you need unemployment and also the commentator said "So you think everyone should quit their jobs and get unemployment handouts so they could go spend on others money".. IMO!

Yes , thats true, but as I say the hostile environment he was in had plugs in their ears and McDonalds needed to be backed up by much more hard facts to drive the point home... If one is going to be on a show for jobs and unemployed and needed benefits, I would have a notebook and I don't give a damn if they saw me reading from my notes , as long as I kept shooting them down and bringing up valid hard core issues they could not refute, then I wouldn't care! I believe there are enough cases to point to.. We are going to soon to be unheard and unseen and put behind the walls and forgot!

Tell you what,, DONE! I am not angry at Gregg or disrespectful at all.. That took courage! But to have an opportunity to speak out coming amongst hostility and closed hard core minds, I would come prepared. I mean something to shut their stupid mouths. Thats what we lack now! We are minimized because its too easy to forget about us!

I have to say 1208 I agree with you, I watched it as well and I don't believe the right message was sent. I do appreciate Greg for standing up but I don't believe he addressed the issue as it should have been.
We didn't accomplish anything today, it was like it was in one ear and out the other. IMO

Re: Extending Unemployment Insurance Debated on Fox
I have to disagree. I appreciate what G has done for us. Nobody was going to get a word in edgewise with that buffoon Payne.
At least G is willing to go out on a limb to help us. I don't see anyone else doing that. All I see are people complaining and criticizing someone who said his mission was to help the unemployed and get them back to work.
Regardless of how Payne treated him, G was a voice for the unemployed. No one else is addressing this.
Anybody out there have any better ideas?

Re: Extending Unemployment Insurance Debated on Fox
The truth is no matter what Gregg did or say on FAUX they were out to make him look bad. I still give Mr. G an A++++++++++++++++++ for trying. I don't see where it hurt us. Only confirms that FAUX is not worth the time of day. Without seeing the interview the network is F-------------------. That is my opinion. You can't convince a network that the only reason the Tea Party exists is through their bias views.
They would have crucified Jesus. No reason ever to mention or use that network ever again. Gives The ED Show and others the information they need to show FAUX bad reporting. I am sure Ed Schultz will say something tonight. He has been on a roll with that network. More good reason to watch MSNBC, CNN and other responsible reporting.
BOYCOTT FAUX!!! Nice try Mr. G. Us long term unemployed will always support you. Your heart always comes through, no matter what others think. YES, I am very happy you have a new job for now. That you care to wage this economic war.

Re: Extending Unemployment Insurance Debated on Fox
In reference to my job... Mr. Payne posed the question, "was I now working?" My reply, "yes, working to get Americans back to work". That is my full-time job at this point.
I was asked to respond to some of the comments posted. With respect to those comments posted up to this point, I respect and defend the right for all to share their opinions. I will not address those that I disagree with. The American 99ers Union is a business and as such, business decisions need be made that all may not agree with.
