Thanks all.

I have spent it weeding and mowing my yard for the first time this year. I am going to get cleaned up and go to Denny's for the free breakfast and then watch the ball game. I hope we can win for a change!

I'd love to get outside and start cleaning my perennial garden, but I know we are going to have another frost. I can see shoots starting to come up but don't want to rake the fall debris out yet. It is good insulation against the frost. At least the trees are starting to turn green. That is a happy sight after this winter - I never thought we would see the grass again with all the snow we had!

"Black Cats & Politics - or how X just spent 5 minutes goofing around"

A mathematician, a theoretical economist, and a politician are asked to find a black cat (who doesn't really exist) in a closed room with the lights off.

The mathematician gets crazy trying to find a black cat that doesn't exist inside the darkened room and ends up in a psychiatric hospital.

The theoretical economist is unable to catch the black cat that doesn't exist inside the darkened room, but exits the room proudly proclaiming that he can construct a model to describe all his movements with extreme accuracy.

The politician walks securely into the darkened room, spends one hour looking for the black cat that doesn't exist and shouts from inside the room that he has caught it by the neck.

Hi all. Just checking in. I'm dog sitting and house sitting for friends. Thought I would run home and check in with everyone. Hoping you are having a good weekend so far. It's gorgeous here in NJ close to 60 and sunny. I am loving it. Just scared of how badly we will have to "pay" for this gorgeous weather at the end of the month.

dropping in to say hi to you all - I read the forum everyday but haven't written any comments. I find that I feel like I'm afraid to comment on the current situation with you guys. I've gotten hired at the yogurt company and life is starting to look good. but I feel so awful about everyones situation and am afraid to connect with you guys. Just want ya to know that I pray everyday that good jobs will be available for all who want to work. It took me 3 1/2 stressful, frightening years to finally get a job. So don't give up hope - it's gotta get better. Peace to all and may God shower you with his blessings.
