New Jersey Unemployment Claim - Invalid
I went on line a filed but was under the imprssion that even though I was not finished working part time for the season I could file early to get it started.
So I filed although I only worked 18 weeks this summer starting in Early June.
I did not work in 2012, excepting to earn less than 600 dollars.
I was a cancer patient at the time.
I received a Notice of Invalid Claim
but the notice I have here states;
Your unemployment insurance claim has been determined to be invalid and you are not entitled to unemployment benefits because:
During the base year, there were fewer than Twenty (20) base weks
and you earned less than $ 7300 in wages covered by the Unemployment Compensation Law of New Jersey.
Base year begins 07/01/2012 Ends 06/30/2013
I was under the impression that if I worked 20 weeks this summer I was eligible ?
What went wrong ?

You have to have paid in money in 3 of the last 4 quarters .......not just work 20 weeks straight .
