New Jersey Residents: Gov. Chris Christie signs unemployment extension
Specifically, the measure revises the eligibility formula for extended
benefits by using three preceding years of data, as opposed to the
current formula which looked only at the two preceding calendar years of
information. By revising the State’s eligibility formula for extended
employment insurance benefits, New Jersey will no longer risk
ineligibility because of the recent decline in the unemployment rate.

What decline???... Oh the 99ers that do not show anywhere.... Just another smoke and mirrors to say things are getting better...
I am happy for those this helps in NJ but I am so tried of hearing things are getting better and the Unemployment numbers are looking good..

There is no decline. As a matter of fact, I think NJ's UE rate went up this month. Christie had no choice but to keep the EB program in place.
