NJ - Benefit Year End, Part-time Job, New claim vrs recert
Hi Everyone,
My Benefit-Year-End is Sat July 28. I am currently on EUC II(have 10 weeks left).
I started a parttime job 5 1/2 months ago and have wages earned hat time totaling $2100.
Can you tell me:
1. What is the minimum # of weeks and wages required for new claim eligibility on a part time job?
2. And how do they determine which quarter(or time period) to base that on?
I know HR4213 is an option if I need it(if I am eligible for New claim) but it sounds easier(faster!) to just recertify my original claim if possible.
I appreciate any help.

Hi. Welcome to the forum. Hope you find friends here as we all have.
With so many of the States changing their procedures and laws, the best advice we can offer you is to contact the UC Service Center Reps that will handle your claim. You will need to give them specific information and they will look back and determine whether you recertify or jump tiers. Since so much has changed in the last 18 months we may give you older information that isn't available anymore.
If you need help getting the UC Service Center Office, let me know I will see what I can find out for you.

HR 4213 is about to expire and all extensions, including state. If you are able to file a new claim, do it, you will at least have 26 weeks of benefits.
