Applied for eApplyUI Claim Online but haven't received Claim Materials (Solution)
Hello to all,
I applied for UI on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 online (eApplyUI) and it has now been past the 10 day mark without any sign of UI Claim Materials being sent to me. I have tried and tried calling EDD directly without luck. I can't get through, they are always too busy and I get disconnected. It's frustrating enough to have to go through the automated system every time I call, but it is worse to not even be put into a waiting queue amongst other callers. Has anyone NOT received their UI Claim Materials sent to them after applying for UI?
I have e-mailed EDD earlier this afternoon about the issue and am going to wait if they ever get back to me.
Appreciate any suggestions, experiences, solutions to the matter!

oh my goodness this sucks.
I can't even get a hold of EDD in CA there lines are "still busy?"
and I still have not received my UI Claim Materials in the mail.....
I have the confirmation number that the website gave me right after I applied online... what gives... total frustration.. oh yeah and I haven't even received a reply to my e-mail that I submitted last week!
anyone have any prior experience with this? Help

I finally got through!
Thanks to this person and method that I found using Google.
So, through my experience so far, and I've learned that even though you have applied for UI online and received the confirmation number, etc. doesn't necessarily mean you will receive UI claim materials; the EDD system is not perfect in any way.
The nice lady that helped me initially stated that she did not see anything on file, meaning there was no indication of me filing for UI at all. UNTIL I provided my confirmation number! That's when she found my application for UI, then proceeded with general questions that she probably had to go through due to protocall procedure. She told me my weekly benefit amount, possible on the phone interview for eligibility and that I should have my UI claim materials in the mail within 5-7 business days depending on the postal service.
All in all, a little word of wisdom here.... DO NOT LOOSE THAT CONFIRMATION NUMBER that you receive/prompt on your screen after you eApplyUI online!! Remember that! I simply took a screen shot (print screen button on keyboard, copy/paste into Paint, Save As) with my computer and saved it. Whewww... and glad I did.
Good luck for those of you ever having this kind of similar experience, and hope the best at your job hunts!

"ACK4]This is for EDD in California...
How to get through to a live EDD rep on the Vietnamese language line...
800-547-2058
wait for message to pause, then press 6
wait for message to start, then press 7
wait for message to start ... then press 3
wait for message to start...enter SSN
wait for message to start...press 1
will hear music while waiting to speak to a rep
You will probably get through on the first or second try. Note: You must wait for the automated message to begin before pressing a number (though you do not have to listen to entire message before pressing the number...).
When you reach an individual (who will speak English), tell him/her you have been trying the English language line for X number of days and cannot get through. You have a pressing matter and would they please help? Be polite. Pretty sure they will take your call. Worked for me.
