claim in MA, 7 week temp job in RI, continue claim?
Hi all!
Some background, I live and collect in MA. I still have a few weeks left in tier II and am starting a temp job next week in RI. It could be anywhere between 7-11 weeks long. I will be making more than I was collecting.
My question is, should I continue to claim and submit my info and just put that i did work and submit how much I made? I realize I would not receive a check but will it keep the claim open? So when the temp assignment ends, I can just pick up where I left off to help me on my feet before while I search for a new job? Or does it not work like that?
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Re: claim in MA, 7 week temp job in RI, continue claim?
welcome to the forum..
the availability of funds is called a benefit year.
you may receive benefits for this entire period.
if you do not file the claim is still open
the fact that you are on tier2 complicates some things
However normally once you have started a tier you are allowed to finish it
if i understand the situation correctly, claimants will continue to collect their 26 weeks of original benefits after Jan 2013.
many states have EB benefits that will stop immediately at the end of the year.
when is your BYE or benefit year End date?
