This is where the spin will come in.
Re: President Obama to address the June economic situation at 10:35 a.m. Watch Here!
YEP!!! J.I.M.. Yep, He'll make a big speech because of 1 month of a mildly positive news. like unemployment new claims dropped 14,000 and housing numbers improved. Hey! I BET the recession is over again! Its been over at least 4 times in the last 2 yrs... Doesn't he realize it takes month after month of sustained drop in unemployment and month after month of sustained growth. But he'll tout June that things has turned the corner and come Aug. or Sept. with seasonal layoff's whoop's!!!!

OK, In all fairness! Now this article says unemployment down to 9.0% trickled down as it says! And says June was Modest at best! Hum!!!

Re: President Obama to address the June economic situation at 10:35 a.m. Watch Here!
That is EXTREMELY bad, especially for this time of year! It is tourist season and usually summer employment would make the rate go down. NOBODY is hiring! Not only do these number reflect the jobs situation, they reflect on the whole US economy! Serious stuff.exhaustedandtired/1208 wrote:Oh! Unemployment is now 9.2% up .1%...

That article was from yesterday and a preview of what they thought the numbers would be today. Just like ADP predicted 110,000 new jobs added in June.
The numbers I posted were released at 8:30 a.m. by the US Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. I'll go by their numbers.

Desp! This is why I get so agitated! Look at the two different articles... One is not so good and the other is modest at beat but isn't anything to write home about! But I am sure the Pres. speech will take the last article and blow it up to total success like we are totally stupid!
But as I say, If he had 4 5 or 6 mos. of steady good news where UE rate dropped and positive job growth of 200,000 each month, then that might be a recovery! Not because he says tings are great!! Oh well!!!

1208, I never believe the "previews" anymore. Wait until the actual figures are released by the DOL - those are the ones that matter. I can't remember when any preview was anywhere near close to the actual figures.exhaustedandtired/1208 wrote:Desp! This is why I get so agitated! Look at the two different articles... I just read this release from The Washington post that says only 18,000 jobs created in June and the UE rate rose to 9.2%. Here is the link...

WOW! It reads fewest jobs in 9 mos.. Can't wait for Mr. Obama's. But I may be surprised. He may own up to the not so good numbers and discuss more job creation plans. Anyway,, almost 10:30 EST.

WOW ! He must have a tee time to hurry to ! He left like his pants were on fire. Notice how he stutters so much without a teleprompter ? He avoids any thing that requires much thought. NO BALLS !!!!!!!!!!
