Indeed they are the issues. The President admits this. The people who aren't taking action are the people who promised job creation in their campaign speeches last fall. We all know now that they were empty promises and people actually fell for it at the polls in November.

Here we are, at the end of April, 115 days, 29 minutes into the start of the 112th Congress and a GOP controlled House and there has yet to be ONE mention of any type of job creation.

Since I can see the future, I find this situation funny. When democrats blame Bush, who clearly had a huge hand in destroying the economy and putting us all in this situation, they are told to stop blaming other people. However, when the new republican congress does everything else, including destroy medicare and medicaid, except create job bills then republicans say that it's Obama's fault and you have to give the new congress two years to get started.

WOW the GOP raised the debt celing during BUSH to pay for 2 wars and tax breaks for the rich. THEY WERE IN CONTROL! ITS THERE DEBT and they need to OWN IT!!

I'm curious nky101, have you watched cspan at all in the past year or so?? have you seen how the party of "NO" vowed to say no to every bill presented by dems....the whole GOP senate actually put it in writing and every one of them signed it. They refused to pass any legislation until they got what they wanted, the bush tax cuts extended.

this is what they have been doing since obama took office. they dont care what the bill is or who it would benefit, if it came from the dems it was an automatic no until recently I believe. Can you imagine how hard it must be to run a government like that?

Carter is definitely NOT considered one of the worst presidents in history, he actually gets pretty favorable ratings. This is especially true when he is compared to Presidents like Bush 1 or 2, Hoover, Nixon, and other republicans. We live in a liberal nation, whether they know it or not or you believe it or not, it's true. Most Americans do not support conservative policies when the policies are actually explained to them.

How much has Obama spent? He has spent a lot. He spent $700 billion in stimulus and a few hundred billion more on other things, like your unemployment benefits for example.

A trillion dollars is a million million dollars. That means you could take 3 trillion of the 11.7 trillion dollars that Bush 2 added on the deficit and make everyone in the United States a millionaire.

In October of 2009, when Obama had a chance to write his first budget, the deficit was already $11.7 trillion. When Bill Clinton left office we had a surplus. Where did that money go? It went to fight two illegal wars, tax cuts for the rich and the oil companies, and to bail out the banks.

I am much older than 20, and have 4 grandchildren. I have seen how the dems are t"ax and spend" and the Repubs have to step in and put the brakes on. I liked Clinton and actually voted for him the 2nd term, because he was smart enough to moderate his thinking in order to get along with the opposing party. the Republicans helped get that balanced budget, although most of it was on paper only. President Obama cannot do that. So, since you seem to absoorbed in the Democrat programs, i refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person. have a great weekend.
