But in many fields, especially those that endured a lot of layoffs during the recession, pay is flat or even falling. And that's for people lucky enough to have a paycheck. Many others, of course, are still out of work.

Yeah, I'm so tired of 'dumbing down resume & experience' articles! Keep on trading down your hopes and dreams when all I have expected was an opening to provide for basic livihood? The over 55 yr are really caught in the trap of overqualified and 'won't be satisfied' dilemna.
