McDonald's to hire 50,000 workers - in 1 day
McDonald's (MCD, Fortune 500) said that these new "Mcjobs" will include crew and management positions, part-time and full-time.The average pay for the jobs is $8.30 an hour. That's compared to the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour, though in some states the minimum wage is higher. She said that restaurant managers can make $50,000 a year.

How many years working in the fast food industry are required to obtain a liveable wage job as Manager? Do you really think that the regular crew will be offered 40 hours, with benefits?
Yea, I can live on $8.30 and hour, 20 hours a week......in a Homeless Shelter! I don't even want to think how this "hiring spree" is going to affect the April job numbers and National unemployment rate!
I plan to apply on April 19. We all should. I'll bet not one 99er will even get a call back.

Awhile back I applied at McDonalds and never received a call back. I think I applied as a manager but I can't remember. Then again many of these management jobs are now requiring a MBA no kidding. Taco Bell near me was hiring a management position and required one and 10 years restaurant experience.
However, I have applied for several jobs at the McDonalds corporate office about an hour away and no response either. One of the jobs was as a corporate trainer, which was my last job, and still got rejected.
