Federal Job Offer - Security Clearance
Hey, I applied for a Federal Job in December 2010, interviewed in February 2011, began working through a Temp Agency in February 2011, and in March 2011 the Federal Agency called and offered me a job!
I've provided my fingerprint cards which I understand will initiate a 5-year NACI search.
The offer is tentative and I won't know until May 2 if it is permanent. If so, then I must report NLT May 9th.
Once I report I'll need to prepare an e-QIP for a possible Secret clearance which I understand goes back 7-years.
When I applied for the Federal position, I left off my last employer b/c it was only 2 months. My last full time job being May 2010. I understand that on the e-QIP I must include the job in which I was fired and indicate why fired, the unemployment, and the temp agency I'm now working through.
Have any of completed an e-QIP and what were your experiences?
Also, since I must annotate that I was fired I must include the reason for being fired. That being I was assaulted and when I reported the incidents, the abuse escalated and I was fired. Is there a nicer way to indicate such? They want all applicants to be honest.
Much thanks!

Re: Federal Job Offer - Security Clearance
I have never had the experience of applying for a job like this.
As far as the reason for being fired: just be as honest as possible. Being the federal government, they will find out anyway! Better it come from you first.
Good luck! I'll pray for you to get the job!!
