WHERE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO WERE DISPLACE ON DEC. 9TH
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PEOPLE WHO WERE KICKED OFF OF UNEMPLOYMENT ON DECEMBER 9TH 2012? Well let me tell you, they become displaced and end up on public assistance, they are becoming part of the homeless losing their homes. They are required to go to programs called F.E.G.S where it is overcrowded and you are basically treated like cattle. You are offered low paying jobs in maintainence, retail and security no matter what your education and employment skills. If you are offered one of these jobs you are santcum(which means you food and living expenses will be taken from you). You also have to work for your benifits doing maintenance ( a form of slavery). One client who actually work for the MTA was bitten by a rat. Prior to working this working for your benifit job you have to sign a form excusing the nyc agency from an liability if you are hurt on the job.

December 9, 2012? How about March 26, 2010? Everyone has forgotten about us. People who exhausted benefits around that time in 2010 were the first of the "99ers". We aren't even offered low-paying retail, maintenance, etc. jobs any more, even with a degree, because of the gap in employment. Been through all that and still doing it.

Our former champions in congress and the media have abandoned us. Congress and the states not only refused unemployment benefits to go beyond 99 weeks, but they are now decreasing the maximum to in some cases 6 months or less, as if the unemployment crisis has magically disappeared! Well, if they think the crisis is somehow over, they're delusional.
As DIRI said, it happened to us, the first batch of 99er's, and as feared, to every wave of recipients that followed, despite our efforts to fax, phone, email, tweet, and petition our elected "representatives".
