TEXAS - Tier 3 Is Back!
For Texas friends that are still unemployed, ended EUC earlier this year when T3 was lost... well it's back and if you have not received notification in the mail, please take note of the below and contact TWC immediately! Payment is NOT retroactive - it's on a "going forward" basis.
This also applies to current claimants on T2, who now can transition to T3 while it's triggered on.

Benefits Extension News (from TWC website)
Texas qualifies to pay Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) Tier 3 benefits beginning October 7, 2012. These benefits do not cover weeks of unemployment prior to October 7, 2012.
If you exhausted EUC Tier 2 before October 6, 2012, and are potentially eligible for Tier 3, TWC will send you a letter with instructions to call to reopen you EUC claim. It is not necessary to call TWC about the extension unless we send you letter.
If you exhaust your Tier 2 benefits by the benefit week ending October 6, 2012, you should automatically transition to Tier 3 as long you remain unemployed and continue requesting payment.

Re: TEXAS - Tier 3 Is Back!
Thanks, Macky! Eligibility for tiers 3 and 4 will change monthly in each state when the BLS releases individual state ue rates, usually at the end of each month.
