"Apparently", or "so far".
Have you experienced yourself or are you referring to other employee experience?
From having worked there in the past, I know indeed the shoppers by far take the cake!

Myself, I have some friends who apparently hold the "anti-walmart" view.

Yeah I understand. These friends should hold their tongue, based on their friend's recent success.
But a lot of us know better. Stay strong and keep smiling!

HAHAH! Orientation is Monday...but I don't know how long I will last. Already I have to ask for a date off. And my son has a doctor's appt on Monday, so I don't know how long orientation lasts, and may have to change his doctor's appt, which is not good. You'd think they would've told me how long it lasted....I hate being at the mercy of an employer. God, I hate starting a new job...you always have to get the quirks out before you feel good about going there. I forgot that when you are employed, you're life is no longer yours, because you always have to answer to your employer, and pass everything by them first.

Re: GUYS! I FINALLY GOT A JOB!!!
Well, i have been working here for almost a month and i can say it's alright however today i just had bad day, with customers getting mad at me for stuff that's either not my fault or something very minor, It was just extremely annoying. ughhhhhhhhhhh! Customers are the best and worst part of this job.

Great to hear from you, SMan! Don't let those customers get the best of you. Kick them where it counts... ha ha!
Marilyn, I think most people starting a job have already established appointments that need to be worked out for the first few weeks of employment. Good luck on that one.
There are some employers that treat their employees over the moon. When I was doing my doctorate apprenticeship at a silicon valley company, I had some very interesting benefits that the company provided so that we could have a better balance of life and focus on the job.
These included on-site day care, bringing any washing in 2 times a week for cleaning, car wash once a week, free gourmet food all day, barber and beautician on-site, etc, etc - all free!
Anyways, "those were the days"!

Re: GUYS! I FINALLY GOT A JOB!!!
Well, guys, here is my two month update, and from what i can say about my experience, it is only ok, i mean it's nice to get paid and some of my co-workers are cool, however i feel under appreciated by a lot of the customers and i feel like a lot of my co-workers and managers ignore me. but oh well, it's a job, i guess.
