why "good" christians support republican policy
For those who wonder how good Christians can support the Republican party..
1) there are parts of the country that are just blanketed with "talk radio" since a 1991 supreme court decision political talk need not be "fair" and equal time need not be given
2) at a deeper level, the original Jesus movement has been sacrificing and diluting its message since its conception (women had complete equality if not dominance)..
It appears to me this started with Paul going to Rome and adopting "Roman Ideas"..
The church may not (probably not) have survived without compromise with the "official ruling class" ...this is an ongoing debate (how much compromise???) and probably responsible for the myriad of denominations....
While BOTH parties represent the ruling class at the highest levels, it is ONE party that represents the supremacy of money in ALL things and equates the pursuit of such money as "Freedom".....
This Party republican continues to polute/dilute the original christian message for its own gain
Christianity the first 1,000 years...

Re: why "good" christians support republican policy
Wasn't it the christian women in the southen states that carried GW to his second term? They were extremely concerned about the weapons of mass destruction, and they believed that he was on the right side of the issue as a Christian?

i am looking up now if it was specifically a high percentage of women...
here is a quote from the MORAL majority....(which is neither)...
"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."— Pat Robertson direct mail, Summer 1992
the highest income equality worldwide is in countries that are left leaning government wise...in practice those citizens actually act in a more civil and christian attitude toward each other...
we have people who believe in the fairy tales told in grimmer school...
Joe the plumber is an example bless his heart he is an unlicensed plumber who dreams of making it big...willing to work long hard hours to do so...he worries about the tax rates going up on incomes he dreams of making...so he cuts his own economic throat at the present to keep a "dream"...
Big business tries to make small business life very hard as a way to keep competition down and profit high....
((don't tell these people Washington did not chop down a cherry tree))) or
that the American revolution was more about the English central banks and the power to print money than over taxed TEA.....
