Eligible for new claim in Illinois after 26 weeks up in other state
Hello friends-
My issue. I live in Chicago, but was collecting on a claim against work in Oregon. 26 weeks now up. I thought I would move to EUC but OR told me because I worked briefly in IL early this year and made barely enough to qualify for a new claim, I had to file a new UI claim here.
My question: Does Illinois now take what would be my normal base earnings year for this new claim or does it do something else because this benefit year (from another state) is far from over?
I certainly have a strong base year for this claim in Illinois, unless they play games with these numbers.
Obviously, I could be bitter about losing the EUC tiers from OR because of one brief job in IL, but at this point I just want a legitmate claim that helps me pay the bills.
Please help me with this info if you have it. Thank you much.
