Madoff says his victims were 'greedy'
Warning! Do Not Read this If you are faint of heart!

In his second jailhouse interview, Wall Street scammer Bernard Madoff
told a reporter that his victims were "greedy" and the U.S. government
is a "Ponzi scheme," though he insisted that he's a "good person."

Re: Madoff says his victims were 'greedy'
He in a way he was right.
There was a good episode of two and half men that aired a couple weeks ago about this. Alan borrowed $3,000 from his brother Charlie to start a chiropractic clinic. Then he borrowed $10,000 from his mother to pay Charlie back plus interest. However, Charlie didn't want his money back because he had a return and then the house keeper, who didn't have much money, got in on it too. Alan made a comment that he borrowed money because he needed it and when he borrowed from one person to pay back another none of them wanted their money back and in fact gave him more money because they were greedy. The scheme fell apart because the housekeeper needed her money back but he had spent it already.
So yeah, their greed cost them. They wouldn't have fell for it so long if they hadn't been so greedy. If you win money on roulette three turns in a row and lose it all on your fourth are you a victim? I don't know about that.

Re: Madoff says his victims were 'greedy'
Oh, please. This is just Bernie Madoff's way of trying to deflect the attacks on his family. Madoff's victims were not greedy. They invested their money through him so that they could get a return on their investment.
If anyone was greedy in this ponzi scheme of his, it's the entire Madoff family and their employees ... after all, Madoff's family and their employees are who benefited from this criminal enterprise.
