Delay in Transitioning From State to EUC? Empty Delay in Transitioning From State to EUC?

Post by mochamajesty Sun Feb 05, 2012 2:36 am

Hi, I am collecting state benefits in Florida. My last payment of unemployment is Feb 14. I will then transition to Tier 1 of EUC.

In Florida, we claim bi-weekly. Do I claim online on Feb 28, or do I wait until I receive a letter in the mail? Do I have to call (I hope not, you can never reach anyone)?

What happens after Feb 14th? Will there be a delay in payments? confused

Never mind: I found the answer from the website:

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for EUC, your final regular unemployment compensation benefit payment must be for the week ending February 25, 2012 or earlier. If you qualify, an EUC claim will be filed automatically and a determination letter will be sent to you within seven days after you claimed your last weeks of unemployment.

Just in case anyone else was wondering...
