U.S. GDP, Huge Revision of Economic Data
Looks like the Federal government fudged the numbers again and have been forced to revise the actual numbers from 3.2% down to 2.8%:

I don't understand why they release the stats until they have all their information. IMO, it is easier to tell the truth to begin with rather than go back and revise it. Maybe they need more "qualified" people so these "revisions" aren't necessary every month.

My point exactly ... then, when they "revise" the numbers, it makes the Federal government look like they are mis-representing the actual numbers and everything they report then comes under suspect.

Couldn't agree more. Is there a degree available in Universities now for economic forecast fudging? (what am I saying, you wouldn't need a degree for that, just a great imagination). But what worries me and has worried me for some time is, if they fudge these numbers, what else is being fudged, how bad was the recession really, housing, unemployment, bailouts, foreclosures, and worse, how are they fudging the "recovery" numbers in all of the above. It was a house of cards that caused this in the first place, are they just playing with a new deck?
