Re: Calif. Businesses Could Face Huge Tax Hike For Unemployment Benefits
Considering these companies are hoarding tons of cash and contributing to the duration of unemployment by not hiring, they should have no problem coughing up the dough.. Right??? LOL
Re: Calif. Businesses Could Face Huge Tax Hike For Unemployment Benefits
South Carolina businesses have already had huge increases in their unemployment insursnce premiums, as high as 300% is not at all uncommon. When Nikki Haley was running for governor, there was a campaign ad where she was talking to a group of businessmen and said, "if we cut taxes and get government out of the way, we WILL create jobs." Maybe this is what the teabagger was talking about.

Re: Calif. Businesses Could Face Huge Tax Hike For Unemployment Benefits
RI just raised their UI tax and bumped up the taxable earnings limit. States have no choice, especially the ones with high unemployment rates. Businesses should start hiring instead of sitting on their profits and expecting one person to do the job of three.
