I don't understand what is so vague in this bill that they have to consult with Gene Sperling, legal counsel to Treasury Sec. Geithner, and Director of the National Economic Council.

President Obama and Harry Reid want this bill passed by the end of the month, Cantor and McConnell have already said "NO", how can anything be done before they know what they are debating and voting on?

I feel that they WILL keep ignoring us. They believe 99 weeks is ENOUGH too but are cowards to say it outright because we are a political HOT potato that can burn them in an election year. They think that IF you don't say ANYTHING about us then IT doesn't exist. I truly feel this is their UNOFFICIAL "yet"Official policy. Washington DC is REALLY !@#$%! at this point.

Reid doesn't want it passed and they don't have enough Dem votes in the Senate I'm sick of both parties especially the lip service paid to the UE by one

American Jobs Act
Reform Unemployment Insurance System to Provide Greater Flexibility, While Ensuring 6 Million People Do Not Lose Benefits ($49 billion)

Congress has never dropped EXTENDED BENEFITS with a national unemployment rate above 7.2 percent.

American Jobs Act
Section 312 – Temporary Extension of Extended Benefit Provisions. This section generally provides for the extension of certain extended benefits. Subsection (a) would extend 100 percent Federal funding of most extended benefits (EB) by one year to January 4, 2013. Subsection (b) would extend 100 percent Federal funding of the first week of EB by one year to June 9, 2013. Subsection (c) would extend by one year the temporary modification to EB indicators, which makes it easier for EB to remain payable in states, to December 31, 2012. Subsection (d) would provide that the amendments made by this section take effect as if included in the enactment of the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2010.

this part would be based on the unemployment rate in your state. my last extension was for 20 weeks on EB, the unemployment rate was over 12% and its still over 12% in California. its funny how the state of Oregon can get over 99 weeks, but the rest of the state legislators cannot get there shitt together. Were it not for the persistence of Rep. Barbara Lee the issue would NEVER be discussed in the White House.

Today's jobs report indicates that the private sector added 91,000 jobs, however, it expects to take a hit next month, losing an additional 161,000 per their reports. They are not going to forget about any of the unemployed. It's up to us not to let it happen.

Barbara is back leading the fight against The Susan Koman Foudation. She spoke passionately about it on MSNBC yesterday. No mention of the unemployed.
