Nothing will be mentioned for the 99ers gotta keep the GOP happy

All about making Boehner happy. Sux big time really. No mention about 99ers.

He has to realize Boehner isn't the one that he has to worry about, its their Mutual employer THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.

I see in the article that -

If EUC, that is scheduled to expire at the end of this year, is renewed, extended longer, etc., that opens the door for help such as HR 589 (or something similar), which provides for more weeks tacked on to one of the EUC tiers. Without that being extended, HR 589 or any other help for the 99er's is a moot point.
But hopefully, Obama will take some kind of action for us himself- he did say "We won't wait for Congress." We shall see....

Well I was just watching CNN and they said studies have been done and they concluded people wait until benefits run out before people get a job. That unemployment drops as people get closer to the end. This is the what Obamas advisors are telling him. The heads of the GOP and TP are saying he same thing but they want to end ALL EXTENDED BENEFITS NOW where Obama wants to keep them.

There will be no mention of help for 99er's. I really don't think the support is there even from a lot of democrats. 99 weeks sounds like a lot to someone who doesn't have to worry about it.

I think if there will be added weeks it will have to come in some big deal like this.


One moment of hope:

When does the super committee go into effect?

If they decide on something it can only be blocked by 3/4ths majority in both houses. This could possibly be used to send added weeks through. IF they will vote for it.

I really hope the exhaustees are not expecting to hear about added weeks, or even be mentioned. Honestly folks that ship has long sailed. Our only hope is that he has a concrete jobs plan, hopefully giving added weight to those out the longest. Of course no matter what he might say, we will have to see if the Repugs just continue to block everything.

extend benefits for another year! Nothing about putting money into hands that that have been out for over 99 weeks... I truly hope something works because if it does we might find jobs again. But sorry, nothing new but a rejuvination speech again!

He has let us down again. Jobs creation for whom? I guess it is what a lot of people have said. We are on our own. There is something Lovecraftian about our government and no one can put their finger on it.

Hunter, nothing was mentioned for 99er's and it kept Obama happy I heard It in his speech, you know his big speech! ! He is president and if he does everyting the repubs. like and want, then he is a weakling and doesn't belong in office anyway! But he cares for Obama only and he is catering to the tea partiers and many are in denial .. He is keeping Obama fat and happy!

No offense but welcome to the crowd. I lost my home couple years back when the big man didn't have a program to help me save my home and my marriage. Now I lost both!

Having been away from this forum for awhile, I did not know that your marriage suffered because of what you are going through. That is probably the tougher pill to swallow. So very sorry.
