Georgia Works: Boehner, Cantor Embrace Possible Obama Plan For Long-Term Jobless

And WHY am I NOT surprised at this????? GOPers WANT SLAVES to work FOR FREE!!!!!!
The program is only open to workers receiving unemployment insurance benefits. During recessions, the federal government pays benefits for jobless workers who run out of the standard six months of state benefits without finding work. The current federal extended benefits, which can provide up to 73 weeks of extra benefits, are set to expire in January. The White House may be considering implementing something similar to Georgia Works as part of a bargain to reauthorize the extended benefits, which cannot be done without Republican support.
AND so what ARE people WHO are NOT receiving unemployment insurance benefits going to DO????? THIS IS A SCAM, SHAM, and ONE WHOLE ABOMINATION of a PLOT!!!!

Watch them somehow squeeze more tax breaks for NON Paying jobs. They really have no plan for the 99ers and this proves it. They really can't afford to pay someone 400 bucks a weeks for 8 weeks while the unemployed victim is re-training? WTH??
The re-train for what, will you find them a job? Talk about a dog chasing its tail.

They don't see this as working for free, they look at it as them paying you anyway so they might as well get something out of it. I have a problem with it going to private companies though. Isn't that the socialism the Rep Bruan is worried about?

It's socialism when WE want it but Capitalism when THEY want it.

unfortunately, it appears the long term unemployment insurance claimant exhaustees won't be mentioned and addressed with this creation speach/plan. IM just basing this on about 10 different national articles from youtube within the last 15 hours or less, with regards to the Presidents speech. Somebody within his office and others are drastically dropping the ball here considerably, this has gone on far too long, with so many millions with no income (outside of food stamps) for 2 YEARS OR LONGER is totally unnaceptable, and inexusable from all those involved who partake in meetings with the president, his cabinet, and any/all other individuals/groups involved.
I can possibly see 6 months to 1 year at very most in taking a "wait and see approach" for those long term exhaustees , however this has gone on waaaaay to long, and while universally known as an epidemic, has become TOTALLY INEXUSABLE for ALL THOSE INVOLVED to not be mentioned at all in any of the most up-to-date articles (over a hundred) regarding Obama's job creation plan tomorrow night.
