Eric Cantor Kicks The Jobless Out Of His Version Of A Townhall.
Last night in Virginia, over 200 desperate citizens struggled to have their voices heard by their representative Eric Cantor (R-VA) during what he claimed was an “open meeting” and is the only type of “townhall” he does.
The announcement on the Richmond Tea Party website (because all of Cantor’s constituents are members of the Tea Party and they all have access to the internet.):
Congressman Eric Cantor of Virginia’s 7th District invites his constituents to attend the next Cantor Advisory Council Meeting. (This is what he calls a Town Hall)
Turns out, this wasn’t really your chance to say anything to Eric. That is, unless you already agree with him. You know that’s how we roll in a democracy! This is Cantor’s version of taxation with representation, people, because when his constituents showed up in the same hotel as his advisory council, having rented a ballroom room upstairs from their out-of-touch and unreachable representative in order to demand jobs, they were thrown out of the hotel. NBC12 Decision Virginia noted, “The Holiday Inn was soon guarded by Chesterfield and Capitol Police officers, who stopped each car before entering the parking lot to ask if they were guest of the hotel or the event.”

Should come as no surprise. He would never take on the serious questions from any of the unemployed.

So the spin is that the UE just started wondering in off the street to talk not organized by the left for the purpose of a desperate photo op….. naw couldn’t be. The Repubs are a little smarter then that. It’s no different then the plants they put in the Healthcare town halls Jesus the spin on this site. I’m neither and certainly not a Demorat lol, If it was individuals that came to speak that would be something different but left groups organizing for the purpose of a press op I'd close my doors too. Besides they don't vote repub right? the Dems are their hero’s so maybe they need to go three doors down to the left and hang in their "boys" office. Representation only works when you don't vote party line if you do then you’re at the mercy of the party in power. If you doubled down then you should be heard. You see on my side the UE are just another Dem group looking for a photo op and I as a minority in said group have to watch the BS and get lumped with either groups crap.

So the Dems are the ones out there having Jobs fairs the CBC was in charge of that and the right tell the unemployed to get lost. You pick the right. What do you want the jobless to do send another fax or beg for help some more?

So town halls should only be for people who agree with the person who is representing them? NO I think not, they are suppose to be a way for ALL constituents, whether they agree or disagree with the rep, to express their concerns.
People are truly frightened and want answers. He just doesn't want the press to catch wind of all the disdain that is coming his way. He doesn't want to help anyone. He wants what HE wants when HE wants it, Just like a spoiled child. He doesnt give a rats azz about the unemployed.
Also, being unemployed is not a dem or repub thing...The problem is, if you want help then its in your best interest to vote across party lines and vote Dem. The Democratic party is our only hope for help for the unemployed. The GOP will not help what so ever.

Yeah I usually agree to disagree with Tristan but this time I can't. IF it was a leftist group trying to gain a photo op then so be it, that's politics and the tea party perfected it, but whether I voted for a particular candidate or not, if he wins, then he represents me and I have a right to be heard.

Not to change the subject but I find it funny now that Rick Perry the king of teabagdom is now asking the GOV for help in the wild fires. Sorry Cantor says we are broke and have to make cuts first. FRIGGEN AZZHOLES!

That, my friend, is called hypocrisy. The tea party have it down to a science. You know, like when they go to a town hall in their medicare paid for hover chairs and scream about how no one should take money from the government?
My favorite is "Keep the government out of my medicare!". If we weren't so stupid as a nation we wouldn't be heading toward third worldism.

Again off subject. Did you see the new Captain American movie? Asking because of the Avatar.
