“If I was a business owner trying to make a decision on an investment, I’d have a little concern right now whether this political system – if you look at the statements of the rating agencies who have questioned the fiscal soundness of this country, it’s about our political system not being willing or able, seemingly, to take on big tasks. …

“This country was in a crisis like very few people had ever seen. And we are slowly coming out of it – albeit, it is frustrating to this president that it’s not coming fast enough. But a lot of that is based upon this dysfunction that seems to be going on in this town. And that gets felt throughout, and there is a lack of confidence whether these political leaders in this town will have the guts to stand up and do the tough things.”
