Jobs: Republicans Destroy Jobs, Democrats Ignore Jobs, America Demands Jobs, Cut The Crap and Create Jobs!!
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/brent-budowsky/jobs-republicans-destroy-_b_893236.html
This is one of the great outrages in political history. Neither party is now proposing a major jobs program. While the Republican party at the national and state level are doing everything they can to destroy jobs, the Democratic Party is failing to fight for jobs with the intensity that Democrats have historically done. Meanwhile the Democratic president does photo ops, Twitter events, and mini-jobs programs of the magnitude of school uniform trivia.
It is an outrage, a crime, a sin against decency and a defamation against everything I personally believe that nobody, repeat nobody, in the high councils of politics gives a damn about those who have been jobless for 99 weeks. This violates my faith as a Christian, where we are supposed to help those in need. It violates my values as a Democrat, where we are supposed to fight for jobs. It violates the most common sense economics, which proves that help for 99ers provides more stimulus than tax cuts for the wealthy, because the 99ers would have to spend the money to live.

The jobless rate is a scandal.
The plight of the 99ers is a moral outrage.
The disastrous jobless numbers today will add to the political earthquake of a nation that demands jobs and is outraged by Washington power brokers who show no signs of caring, understanding or acting.
Shame on the president. Shame on the Republicans. Shame on the Democrats. Shame on the media. Shame on them all.
It is time to cut the crap, create the jobs, and fight like hell for what Americans want: jobs.
wow, this guy is going off! Great article

Dems WEAK willed, Repugs BLOOD Thirsty INSANE. and the people with NO real place to turn. The more I read about this continuing madness, I wonder how much longer this nation has to exist. a Civil War may be the ONLY recourse of the people at this point. These little "Kings and Queens" in DC that have set up dominion over us all, MUST be stopped one way or another. They system of a "Peoples" government no longer exist. Votes don't matter, only MONEY. What are we to do?

Re: Cut the crap and create jobs
The only good coming from this "chicken game" right now, if you can call it good is that the focus has been turned to Jobs and Revenue if we are a country to survive. We will not survive without putting people back to work, through a bill, a program or just the greedy waking up and starting to hire, whatever it takes, people have to work to keep programs running. Revenues have to be raised, maybe not permanently, but they have to be raised. Too many people not working, too many loopholes and tax breaks = no revenue. Why they will not listen to every economist who has advised them is beyond me. They hear them when they conveniently want to.
#HR589, Jobs, Jobs Legislation, Jobs Program = Increased Revenues.

Yes, Revenues have to be raised and the ONLY way to do that is taxes. Tax those who HAVE paid nothing but that unfortunately is a NO GO with the insanely RED minded. They TRULY believe CUTTING will save the day. We've been hearing it for MONTHS, yet they have brought NOTHING. You CANNOT create JOBs from NOTHING. It's NOW a FACT that their AGENDA, DOES NOT CREATE JOBS but they KEEP telling us THAT it does. HOW much longer do we tolerate THIS obvious STUPIDITY? Maybe until their actions BLOW up EVERYTHING. We SHOULDN'T have to GO that far to prove that their path IS NOT going to work.

Re: Cut the crap and create jobs
Actually, Munster, that's not the only way.
The other option is a tariff on imported goods. This would make imports more expensive, and encourage people to Buy American.
However loud the freetraders scream, we have to do this eventually in order to bring the jobs home. Corporations are about profits. It is more profitable to make things abroad and import them for sale in the USA. We have to make that more expensive again, so that making things here is the cheaper alternative. Only then will those outsourced jobs come home again.
But it's not just manufactured goods we need to slap a tariff on.
Note also, please, that tariffs on intellectual property are also an area that needs to be explored, as the potential revenue from this is immense.

My husband and I have never aligned ourselves to any political party. Our theory over the years has been that all politicians STINK! Right now, the Democraps stink a little less than the Repukelicans! It's a damn shame what they are doing to us.

Re: Cut the crap and create jobs
IMHO, besides the Civil War (which we MAY be headed for again), this is the biggest test for this republic in its history.
Shortly after the close of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia a woman asked Benjamin Franklin, "what have we got, a republic or monarchy?". Franklin replied, "A republic madam if you can keep it".
We will now know if this republic can be kept, or if a few corrupt, power-crazy individuals have turned this nation into something else. Never in my lifetime (or my parents and grandparents lifetimes) have so many people in need been ignored and pushed aside by this nation.
Our voices eventually would have been heard, and something would have been done. It may have taken several weeks or months, but action would have been taken to fix the problem.
NOT THIS TIME.
