Declining Jobless Rate In Part Due To Unemployment Aid Running Out
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/31/unemployment-rate-declining-jobless-benefits_n_869234.html
CHICAGO (Ann Saphir) - As much of a quarter of the recent decline in the U.S. jobless rate is due to long-term unemployment benefits running out, according to research from the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank published on Tuesday.
When people exhaust their benefits, the Chicago Fed study found, many find jobs or give up and leave the labor force altogether, both of which contribute to a decline in the unemployment rate.

If we would all just go away and die like they want, the unemployment rate would be even lower!!! Love your picture Judi58 what a pretty boy.

Yes the job rate is declining however more disability claims are being filed. Like the one guy said on the radio. 99ers are trying whatever they can to get help.

Most of us had this figured out for a while..Maybe we should be hired for this so called "research team"..We all know they do anything to manipulate the numbers to make the UE rate look like its dropping..

Also I agree they want us to go crawl away and die.. save face on the UI numbers.. it is all Bull... I actually heard this morning on LOCAL NEWS about how bad unemployment is in the US and that beleive it or not... People have been without work some for as long as 2 years... had to laugh because I can not afford to throw anything at my TV and replace so I sat back and laughed.. 2 years with out a job.. OH MY!!

Re: Declining Jobless Rate In Part Due To Unemployment Aid Running Out
They could have saved themselves a lot of money and just asked the Secretaries' of Labor for each State. They have been saying this all along as have we, the Unemployed and 99ers. Money well spent on a research team that told us what we already knew. There, let's submit that as an idea on how to reduce the deficit. Stop hiring research teams that don't give us much information that wasn't already available.

What really gauls me is that they still insist on using the phrase "leave the labor force altogether" or "have stopped looking"!!!! We didn't leave altogether, we were left. We haven't stopped looking, there isn't much to look for, anywhere.
So again, let's tweet together #HR589, #99ers,#Unemployed,#Where are the jobs, Mr. Speaker?
