Moving from Tier 1 to Tier 2
I got a funny message from DUA this morning. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what this means. My last post I spoke about my BYE coming to a head on June 11, 2011. Well this week, I am supposed to move into Tier 2. My benefit amount right now is Zero.
Webcert did allow me to file, however, when I was done I received this message:
• Your claim is being processed. If additional information is required to determine your eligibility for benefits, you will be contacted.
I know that the end result will be that I'll just need to call but I was hoping someone whose been through the tiers can tell me if the message I received is something bad, or just a generic message that pops up when they haven't processed my claim to move forward to Tier 2?
Also, does anyone know if DUA is still making us to those designated days to call in given the last digit of your social security number?
Thanks Guys!

YOu will roll into Tier II automatically, I rolled into all the tiers flawlessly.

Indeed, I got that message today as well, going from initial to Tier 1. Calling tomorrow, hope it's painless. Stress is something I already have enough of.

When going from regualr unemployment to tier 1 you do have to call, aside from that and when/If you go to EB you dont have to call.

Yes, The SSN Last Digit thing is still in place. *sigh*. Have to wait til Wednesday to take care of this. Would rather take care of this now than WAIT 2 days with shot nerves.

Re: Moving from Tier 1 to Tier 2
Hi All,
RookieCAF I totally understand where you are coming from. Hang in there. I actually logged into webcert today, and noticed that my benefit amount for Tier 2 is already in place. It doesn't say that I will get a check in specific terms (down at the bottom) where it tells you your last check amount, but it does say at the top, under the benefit amount the date that I last filed benefits. So, given all of this, I am very hopeful, that I'll see a direct deposit this evening. Which is great because I do not want to call in - I think my scheduled date would be Thursday.
One question, I thought Tier 2 was 14 weeks total. When I logged in my benefit amount is about a week short when claiming the full amount. Now, I know that Tier 3 is 13 weeks - maybe they got confused and moved me there? LOL, I doubt it.
Thanks Jobless and Congratulations on the new job! I knew good things would come to you. You've been a rock for many of us.

This link above is what is currently in place. Tier 3 is 13 weeks, Tier 2 is 14. I can't really recall that far back (I've been a 99er for 15 months), but I believe a week was added to Tier 2 in 2009 to bring it to 14 weeks. That could explain your benefit balance. It may correct itself. As I said, I'm not too clear on this - it was sooooo long ago!

I'm sure it won't be a big issue, but I have a bad habit of overthinking things. They turn into 20 foot tall monsters in my mind.

Does this mean I dont have to call for BYE?

Hey Jobless (i think your screen name calls for a change now You mentioned the only time one should have to call DUA is with one of the issues above (provided there is nothing screwy with your claim). Just wondering if thats true for the BYE? Will the computer automatically re-enroll me, should I file the Sunday after my claim officially ends (BYE)? Or will it direct me to call in before it's actually processed?
Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone!

Re: Moving from Tier 1 to Tier 2
HI Epson, yes on your BYE you do have to call in, sorry for not clarifying that. As far as the Tiers go, no; you do not have to call.
