Please anyone help Received letter"you have exhausted your heb entitlement"
My letter says I exhausted my HEB entitlement. When I look online it shows that I still have 8 weeks worth of $ left.Alabama is still a HEB receiving state.I have a paper I send in one time a month about job searches and I have done that.It does bother e that it could get lost in the ail especially with all the devastation from the weather here. That combined with a horrible mail lady cant be good.I have taken copies each time as my gut has always told me too just in case. The way I understand this letter it says "disqualification will continue until you have worked in at least 4 weeks and earned not less than 4 times your weekly benefit amount"
Please ALABAMA let me find that job so I can get laid off and start being made to fill like a scum bag again. At 36 I had my job almost 12 years but started working and paying taxes at 13.What gives???
If my letter got lost in the mail or I did something wrong why no phone call or email?Just this past week I had to update that info again.I live in the country they require I make a 40 mile radius for a job search the check barely covered gas for the 400 miles a week I drive searching for work.Call them???Be nice if they hired a few to help them?

Welcome Shannon. I believe anyone in Alabama on EB will be cut-off on May 14. Your state is one of several that have ended state emergency benefits, even if you still have money left in your account. North Carolina was the first state to enact it in April.
PLEASE, check out this thread for further information. Good luck. Hopefully Alabama will do the right thing and change their EB laws, as many states did to keep this program in place, especially in light of the recent devastation in your area.

You may also want to check out other topics in the State EB forum to see what the residents of PA and NC are doing to try to have their benefits reinstated.

Welcome to the forum shannon. I'm sorry to hear that your benefits are ending!
I would keep calling until you reach someone! In Mass they are horrible to get in touch with. When you finally do reach someone they tell you to call back on a certain day, its very frustrating!
Dont give up until you get an answer and take DesperateInRI's advice and check out the link she provided.
Good luck!
