A veteran named Earl sent me a very moving email today. His story is likely that of millions of others like him all over America. It is a stark reminder that in today's America, those with the most are asked to pay the least, while those with the least are asked to sacrifice the most.

I feel for them, but no more than myself or all the other 99ers. I have always had a special place for vets and value what they do. But we are all in a war now that we did not choose, they chose to join the military. Being a 99 is the great equalizer.

Is it a sadder day in America that a strong healthy vet with no kids can't get a job, or a frail single mother can't get a job.

Who should get a job first, the single mother, the family, the batchelor, the vet, the college grad, the 50 yr old, or the guy whose business went under. It don't matter we are all screwed. If something drastic is not done it is over for us.

Even after 14 weeks we will still be in the same boat. I am calling/emailing every landscaper ad I can. But when they hear that I speak english well they are not interested.

It's a sad day in America when I CAN'T FIND A JOB!!!!!

This is just America's way of saying, "Thank you for your service!".
