Re: Planned parenthood article
I knew about this around Friday. It really is a shame. They even cut funding to Americorps. What I can tell everyone is that President Obama has already warned House Republicans that he will veto this bill if it reaches his desk.
First, even if the CR/Budget passes in the House of Representatives, it still needs the Senate to approve and pass the bill. Considering that Democrats still control the Senate, that's looking less likely to pass.
Second, if, by some strange chance, it manages to pass the Senate, you can count on President Obama's veto on the bill. While Congress can override a president's veto, they need a 2/3's majority vote in both chambers in order to override a veto. That's less likely to happen.
In the end, if this bill happens, by some miracle, to reach President's Obama's desk, he has already told the Republican majority leader and the House Speaker that he would veto that bill. He's all for budget and spending cuts but not at the cost of the American People.

Personally, I think our country would be better off without such programs. Recently I was listening to an ex-director of a planned parenthood? center talk about an experience she had.
One of the surgeons? there asked her to be apart of a new procedure where she was holding a device over the patients stomach, kinda like an ultra sound, and what she saw next was horrifying. The Dr began poking the baby with what ever tool that was used to kill it, and she was sitting there watching the whole thing. How each time the baby was getting stabbed it would squirm and try to get away, basically she said it was like watching someone stab that little baby to death.
She recanted all the times she remembers telling the patients when asked if their baby would feel pain, that she answered no.
Needless to say, she is no longer employed with planned parenthood.
So when there are actual children, who get the chance to live, but are now going without food because their parents can't find work, then places like planned parenthood need to lose any and all budgeting, and funds need to be prioritized and given to people that really need them.
Just my few cents.
