Have Doubts about HR 589? Vent Away Here! - Page 2 Empty New Name

Post by 54andpoor Sat Apr 02, 2011 1:22 pm

First topic message reminder :

I'm afraid it's now time to call the 99ers 'Permanently Unemployed'. After being unemployed for 2+ years and it taking 10 years at the current rate to go back down to unemployment levels like 2005, the 99ers have little chance of becoming part of mainstream America again. If you are in your 50's, hope you can last until SS and Medicare.

Unfortunatlly you are so right, and the 50 & 60 year olds have some experience in hippie communes. But does you "retirement village have an age restriction. Because there are a lot of 40 30 & 20 year olds that are in the same sinking boat as you.

Find some Native American Indians and start a reservation, and of course build a casino!!!

I would love to see some bankers loose their money to you.
Keep in mind the 20-40 year olds still have time to make a decent life in the long run. You can go to school and learn a new career and still have time to pay off the loans. We 50-60 year olds don't have that option. Do we risk getting saddled with $50K in student loans and hope an employer will hire a 55 year old in a new career?

I just sent a scathing fax to Cleaver. Not that he'll ever see it (or that he'll care if he does see it), but it made me feel better. What a nerve!

So it'll be cheaper when we're all on food stamps and welfare? What sense doesa this make.

Yes, it will be cheaper when we are all on food stamps and welfare - the cost will be ZERO. These programs are part of the proposed budget cuts already.

The best way to contact members of the CBC, including Cleaver, is through the Crew of 42 website. The Congressional Aides that monitor that site are always helpful and have responded to me many times in the past. Here is a link to the news release today, with an option on it to send an email. Thanks for taking quick action! I hope all the other 99ers and unemployed are as supportive and active as you are!

This is beyond inhumane. I for one believe do believe that the biggest contributing factors to why this piece of legislationis having a hard time is it blatantly shows the acountability of the politicians in office by revealing the real unemployment numbers if passed coupled with the fact if a nation knowingly lets the world see the conditions it is forcing its people into, then you have the potential for an uprising.

How can you deny people what they have worked for their whole life under the guise of patriotism, yet fund 3 wars, provide foreign aid in lump sums, have companies at record profits per your consent. It all wreaks of of evil, and pre-meditation. Globalization and the corporate mafia are winning, and the American people ARE too entranced to do anything about it.

I fear for those that are honest, are good, have investing their breathe into a country that has become the complete opposite of what the constitution represented. 99ers were the 1st but I don't think we will be the last. Ask Bill Gates, he honestly feels like th earth is over-populated, and as one of the elite, if you don't see the differentiation between paranoia and propaganda, then we are all doomed. Something must be done. I suggest a complete overhaul, cause both parties are corrupt, clearly. and corporate interest needs to be completely cut from politics otherwise Mr. Gates will have way, along with the puppet Obama ushering in his NWO ( I hate that term, but its blatantly obvious)

Thanks I needed to vent, and stay resiliant people.

People be damn.... the attitude I see. I stand by it has been said over and over ..
LET THEM EAT CAKE... OUR GOVERMENT DOES NOT CARE...

True but not true. They want to ad to tier 1. If they give a lump some retroactive check the numbers will stay the same. That is our only hope.

But how many angry "working" angry voters will that create. Most people think UI is what your pay check was because most people have no experience with UI.

"What!?! They got 99 weeks off AND a lump sum check?" Bye Bye OBOMA!

Like I always say it is all about votes.
