Missouri State Lawmaker: Unemployed Should 'Get Off Their Backsides,' Get Jobs
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/03/03/jim-lembke-missouri-unemployed_n_830892.html
"Ninety-nine weeks is too long," Lembke said, referring to the 99-week window during which the unemployed can receive jobless benefits. "People need to get off their backsides and get a job. Maybe they'll have to get two jobs or three jobs to make ends meet, but they need to quit stealing from their neighbors."
Yup he is gonna hear it from me today!

Step 1: create a major crisis by de-regulating, giving tax cuts to the rich that are unpaid-for, and lose revenue, & drive up major State & Fed deficits.
Step 2: spend $Bs to convince the public that the PUBLIC is to blame for the colossal mess.
Step 3: attack that greater public (98% of the population) after blaming for said mess, taki...ng away the peoples' rights, while simultaneously giving more tax cuts to the wealthiest & eliminating Corp taxes -- which ironically amounts to pretty much the same amount as the budget deficits.
Step 4: cont. spending $Bs blaming the wrong majority if the population of the country, and keep the public's eye off of the ball.
Step 5: corps take over our country complete thx to Governors, state & Fed Republican legislators' efforts to buy their jobs by 'selling themselves' to big business. No more worker-safety regulation, fair wages or work hours, benefits, clean air or water.
Step 6: Tax payers pay more $$$$ more to foot-the-bill for it all, and are starving, living in diseased poverty equal to the 1800s/early 1900's.
Step 7: middle class has effectively been eliminated, and the US is officially declared a "3rd world country."
Republican/Tea Party plan is complete. Found this on FB,

Re: Missouri State Lawmaker: Unemployed Should 'Get Off Their Backsides,' Get Jobs
I called Lemke's office yesterday and had a very long chat with the woman who answered his phone. She was an older woman like me who said prior to getting her current job she was UNEMPLOYED for 1 year and 8 months and receiving benefits!! Apparently this guy has gotten calls from all over the country. I went on to say that in addition to his offensive comment that he is obviously out of touch with Missourians. Even with his assistant! I also asked if there are any jobs at his office and I would be willing to re-locate if they could advance me gas money! She understood exactly what I was talking about and was extremely sympathetic. I finally said that prior to this statement I had no idea who he was (I'm not in his district) but now he is on the record and that he will be unemployed in two years too. Unlike the rest of the state, Kansas City and St. Louis vote mostly for democrats. He represents south St. Louis. I also urged her to tell to him that he needs to issue an apology. I left my name and telephone number and that I am expecting a call back. I'm not holding my breath waiting...
