recruiters and twists and turns
every small little job i have gotten over the past few years has been something in which an online recruiter contacted me first.....
i dont know why but occasionally i think i should apply for jobs listed, and i apply a couple dozen times and get told about so and so job
1) start date listed as may 5th once on company sight, call company and told of posponment and told apply anyway project was delayed....ok
2) twice i am told company filled spot from internal sources...hmmm..ok
3) keep in mind its BAD form to apply to same job with different recruiters
jobs are "confidential" and start-end dates are fudged so the same job as different end dates (vastly).....
just the joys of looking for work.....( iam VERY grateful for the small jobs has two or three ad up, dont get me wrong)

Re: recruiters and twists and turns
The job search has never been a pleasant experience for most, even in the best of times, except when you're finally given the job offer. Today, with the job search lasting months or years, it's even worse.
Recruiters (headhunters) are glorified salespeople, and they work off commission just as they do. They can BS with the best of 'em, up to and including making up hospital stays of themselves or their contacts to explain away delays in the hiring process of a so-called job they're working on.
