Would I qualify for an extension?
Im on my last 2 weeks of regular unemployment, I wasn't even sure I was going to get that, because I only worked shy of a year before I was laid off. My question is, if I qualified for regular unemployment and nothing has changed, does that automatically mean I would qualify for the extension, or do you have to work a certain amount of time and my case has to be redetermined?
I called, and asked that question, but they wouldn't answer me, all they said is that there's not that many reasons why I would not qualify, but still didn't tell me anything. I'm in MI, btw.

Re: Would I qualify for an extension?
Amy, you are understandably anxious to know about your extension. We've all been through this "void" until we get the letter or acknowledgement that we're good to go.
If you were collecting unemployment then there's no reason that you won't receive the extension. That's what it is, an extension to what you've already been receiving.
And it's always a bit more difficult over a holiday weekend to wait for this government acknowledgement. Hey, don't worry. Enjoy your weekend.
