Here in PA, you get benefits every two weeks. After certifying for one week, they said my balance is zero (initial 26 weeks). I will therefore get just one week's worth of benefits and I know in order to not have any interruption of benefits, I need to reach them by phone. I CAN'T GET THROUGH!! I've been trying since yesterday...and am ready to give up. I know they mail out an eligibility/renewal form to transfer to Fed EUC. Has anyone just waited for this? They are saying I should receive something within 7 days from date of last payment after benefits are exhausted. Problem is that will put me to next wednesday plus there is the time of mailing it back. By the time I go through this, it will be 2 weeks. I have a ton of bills..plus the holidays. Please let me know if anyone has waited to do it by paper rather than phone and how long it takes. Is there any interruption of benefits? etc. Thanks!

Besides keep trying, I can t really give you any info, good luck. I can give you a little advice, and a possible reality check though. The LAST thing you should be thinking about now is spending money on the Holidays.

Nutty is right... keep redialing the whole day if you have to. Here in RI it sometimes takes days to get through!
Listen to Nutty and Macky!The last thing you should worry about are holiday gifts! Save what you can these few weeks you have left! Keep dialing that phone! People are now just beginning to realize that extensions are not going to happen and are panicking! I imagine every UE Call Center in the country is overwhelmed right now. Don't give up.
