Bernanke says Unemployment to remain high for years.
He has been saying this over and over. Wish those in Congress would wake up and push a jobs creation bill as well as take care of the 99ers.

Re: Bernanke says Unemployment to remain high for years.
They tell everyone UI will be high for YEARS! Yet, when asked about extended benefits, they say people are just to lazy to look for work. My favorite show right now is Sparticus on Stars, I think John Hannahs character sums up how I feel about the good guy/bad guy routine the govt is pulling. ==Warning, salty language included...

Re: Bernanke says Unemployment to remain high for years.
The problem is that they're telling Congress one thing while Congress is telling the American People, the unemployed, something altogether different.
Our country cannot survive without passing unemployment benefits for the 99ers while also trying to stimulate job creation. The fact they won't consider is that nobody's plan to stimulate job creation still won't be enough to convince many businesses and corporation to step up hiring.
Try as they might, neither U.S. Businesses nor Corporations will create jobs as long as they figure they can get away with fewer employees and make bigger profits. It's not the unemployed that's impeding employment in our country, it's U.S. Businesses and Corporation who continue to refuse to create jobs.

Some smaller businesses may have considered a limited amount of hiring if they had extended he hiring incentives, especially the employer exemption on the SS tax.

I know. The one incentive that was in place was removed. Here we are 2 months into 2011 not a peep about job creation. NOT ONE. The American public needs to wake up to the reality of what the "New" USA is all about.

The new Congress is just doing things the way they have always done it .... with NO effort.

All talk and no actions aside from making sure their pockets stay lined while cutting back necessary lifelines for folks in need.
I'm all for cutting wasteful spending, but cutting life lines to hard working American citizens, disabled, elderly etc is deplorable.

Politicians only care when their job is on the line. We should start a recall movement. YOU'RE FIRED!
By the way the average bonus per Bankster last year was 128,000. That is just their bonus on top of HUGE paychecks.

That is why I lost my job in March 2008 -- funding cutbacks to Human Services.
