Unimployment Benefits Stopped - South Carolina
In SC you are now required to make at least one (1) of your four (4) weely job contacts using the departments job service website. I have been and have the metadata as proof thereof. I've called several times and left messages and only got through 1X and she was very rude. I've provided my login information and now must report in person again to see if this can be corrected. Yet, they are so busy that I cannot be seen w/in the same day. They are also rude. So now, I'll be there at 7:30 AM on Monday for when the open @ 8 AM.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Unimployment Benefits Stopped - South Carolina
Don't even get me started with the unemployment office! When I first applied 3 years ago, they were still using paper and requiring people to use the awful phone system. And if you passed 50 weeks or something, you had to start submitting proof that you were applying for jobs. Service was terrible then. Now everything is automated, they did away with those stupid rules, and they are not as swamped, so the people I've dealt with have been great. I had to apply on my Birthday and they wished me Happy Bday. lol.
