Questions With Unemployments Additional Training Payments
I was just approved through the Workforce (WIA) program for paid funding of the maximum allowance of $4500 for my associates degree in Human Services. I am curious if I will be able to receive Maryland’s Additional 26 weeks of unemployment pay. Thru research I have seen that all approved training is accepted by Unemployment Insurance. I am just confused because my program is an online course and I do not have to attend the campus for my program. I would think since I was approved through the Workforce (WIA) that I would be eligible for the additional training unemployment money. Although, it states that I cannot receive this funding until all my benefits are exhausted, which will be the 1st of July. Has anyone gone through the process with the unemployment additional training? Will I be eligible?
