US economy created about 210,000 more new jobs in February, surveys show
The Labor Department will issue the jobs report for February next Friday (3/9) at 8:30 a.m. Surveys carried out by the the three major financial news agencies expect the report will show an increase of 210,000 jobs for the month.
Nonfarm Payroll Esimates (February):
Bloomberg +206,000
Reuters +210,000
Dow Jones Newswires +210,000
The unemployment rate is expected to stay put at 8.3%

DJ US DATA WEEK AHEAD: This Jobs Report Should Be Worth The Wait
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--For those going through jobs-report withdrawal, take heart: the much anticipated report should arrive next Friday.
Because of February's brevity, the Labor Department often delays reporting that month's data until the second Friday of March instead of the usual first Friday release. This time around, economists think the report will be worth the wait.
The median forecast of economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires calls for a solid 210,000 gain in February payrolls. If so, that would be the third consecutive hiring increase above the 200,000 mark. If sustained, that pace will continue to draw down the unemployment rate which is forecast to stay at 8.3% in February after falling rapidly since August.

I read that the unemployment rate has actually gone up in February...

The full Bloomberg jobs report preview is out this morning. They have raised their estimate to 210,000 as well.
