Millions to lose unemployment benefits if Congress doesn't act!!

If lawmakers don't act soon, the jobless see their unemployment checks start to disappear come January.

More than 6 million Americans are set to lose federal unemployment benefits in 2012, with 1.8 million running out in January alone, according to new figures from the National Employment Law Project.

President Obama's $447 billion American Jobs Act would extend the deadline to file for federal unemployment benefits for another year. Though the Senate is expected to take up the controversial jobs bill on Tuesday, it's unlikely to get very far.

This should be a no brainer but it will be a long drawn out process down to the wire.

The way things are in Washington now, if people don't start speaking up, the whole bill is dead. They won't "pick it apart" and pass only the unemployment extensions if no one is asking. Ignore us, we will go away.

I think there are approximately 26 more WORKING days for the 112th Congress. How far do you think this is going to get?

Don't sorry, soon to be january benefit exhaustee's.I exhausted my benefit's one year ago.Did'nt even know it was gone.you see when you're,unemployed, homeless,hugry,and broke.their's not much more to sorry about.thank's congress. john Q public 99er
