The Department of Labor will release the September jobs report on Friday at 8:30 a.m. Surveys carried out by the major financial news agencies expect the report to show that approximately 60,000 new jobs were created in the month.

September nonfarm payroll estimates
Reuters +60,000
Dow Jones Newswires +60,000
Bloomberg +50,000

However, as Dow Jones points out, 46,000 of those jobs are the returning Verizon workers
