House Republicans Approve Bill to Protect Illegal Job Outsourcers
http://democrats.edworkforce.house.gov/press-release/house-republicans-approve-bill-protect-illegal-job-outsourcersThe bill, dubbed the GOP’s Outsourcers’ Bill of Rights (H.R. 2587), would remove the only meaningful legal remedy available to workers if a company illegally moves operations or eliminates work because workers engage in protected activities like forming a union or collective bargaining.
“The Republican bill sends a message to employers to retaliate against employees who may demand a piece of the American dream,” said Rep. George Miller (D-CA), the senior Democrat of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. “We should be working to create jobs, not send American jobs overseas. We should be working to strengthen the middle class, not tear it down. We should be working together to send the message that, during these most difficult economic times, Congress is on the side of the middle class.”

This is exactly why we need to be requesting meetings with our State and US Senators and Congressional Reps, along with the Governor and State Legislators. We need to be sending messages on all fronts.
Everyone has to be able to see by now, if we send a message by only dumping incumbents and voting for the "other guy" we can wind up in a world of trouble. Please all, get vocal. If you don't want to fight for additional benefits, the 99ers, the Unemployed or HR589, at least fight for this. It has to stop before we are all the vacation island of America, just like Cancun, where the only jobs are service oriented positions making minimum wage and loving every tip we can get, working 70 hours a week and still not making enough. Why? Because we make nothing here anymore and we don't care about all of our people, just like most vacation resorts, where the poor work their tails off, can't own property and the wealthy have their mansions mixed in with the resorts and spas and the poor housing is hidden. That is exactly where we are headed with this Congress, who thinks once again, a tax cut for the wealthy is a job creation bill.
