Will people ever find employment?
This is a question that we all are facing today.
As much as everyone want to be positive, I really don't see it happening for another 5-10 years from sources at the Dept. of Labor.
Unless they pass this bill and sign it in law, my sources say "America unemployment is about to rise higher than the great depression era."
You think it hard now to get a job , they been telling me to finish school because my field I am majoring in is still wide open, but my past job field are slim.
My career advisor told me that believe or not that warehousing will be took over by robots.
This is in the works for now,but eventually will be true for many other industry.
That is why many companies are not hiring; they are waiting to see how things play out for now.
I advise everyone that ask, they should look into two fields to be in: Health and Computers because these are going to be what they will need in the next couple of years.

Re: Will people ever find employment?
I think computer work is pretty obsolete now. There will still be programmers but those pay rates are going way down. In 10 years those will be minimum wage jobs. I had a friend who kept going back to school a few years ago to get different degrees as a computer technician and the qualifications and pay rate went down before he graduated each time that he was never making any more money.
Health care will need a lot of people and there will be few qualified. I think this is the way to go.
MRI tech seems to be a pretty good field but you have to find a way to get in the program, pay for it and pay your bills while going to school 7-4 Monday through Friday for two years.

God help us. Technology is supposed to improve the quality of human life not eliminate the need for it altogether.
