Online BBQ - Monday, Labor Day 1PM
First topic message reminder :
Call me crazy. I have said a million times, if I could do one thing, it would be to meet all our friends personally. Since that doesn't seem possible, I am having a BBQ on Monday, Labor Day for all of you, right here on the forum.
Time 1PM
Menu:
BBQ chicken, NJ honey and sweet corn, NJ Tomotoes, Potatoe and Macaroni Salad, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Tossed Green Salad.
Desert: Lemon Poppyseed Cake, Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Cake
Adult Beverages: Margaritas, frozen and on the rocks, salt or no salt, beer and wine.
We will provide the volleyball, horseshoes and music. Please bring your favorite game, music and beverage. Bring the family and friends and have fun.
Hope you will all be able to join us online.
If you would like, bring your favorite dish as well.
Hope to "see" you all then.
Big hug,
mk
BTW, the menu will be made using recipes from the Unemployed Friends Cookbook. I bumped up the topic again.
Be well.

The beer is cold, the margaritas are made along with the ice tea, lemonade and sodas. Welcome! I am glad you all could make it. I have wanted to do this, really, welcome you all to our home, but as it's impossible to get everyone here, we'll do it this way.
The buffet is set up and ready for you. Enjoy!!

We've been organizing the house since the move, please excuse our appearance, we still have some rearranging to do.

We're due for another storm, actually until Thursday. Just what we need, very humid but temp has dropped to about 82, we're only supposed to be in the 70's next week, which is really unusual for us. 106 is hot, hot. How are you holding up?

Re: Online BBQ - Monday, Labor Day 1PM
Wow I like BBQ anything but I probably should be watching what i eat since i cant see a doctor
I slept in since i was up very late doing homework so its nice to try and stay distracted today before the "routine" begins all over again. I'm going to try and relax this "labor" day. How ironic!

I hear you laine, most of the summer was close to 100 here, otherwise high 90's, July was brutal. It has moderated in the last two weeks, but we've had storm after storm, then an earthquake and a hurricane, so we've cooled considerably. Looking at the pictures in Louisiana now, those poor people. I guess I shouldn't complain.

Scarey, so many parts of the country under water while others would just kill for an hour or two. Hopefully you will get some. Where are you laine? I am in southern NJ.

Im not a margarita kind of girl, I will have a pina colada please! LOL
hubby is good and home safetly!! Not home for more than half an hour and he is already taking a nap...hes exhausted! He was a bit disappointed because they were told they would get paid today and they did not! He has to go all the way to the main office of the shop in Quincy tomorrow at 1 to get it. Oh well, we waited this long for something like this, another day wont hurt.
