Became a 99er today

Today, I just got my last unemployment check. I am officially a 99er.

I have two chances for a job, which I am grateful for, and if I don't get those I will just have to move on with my life. I actually feel a huge sense of closure with this. There is no more worrying about deadline extensions, no more meetings at the unemployment office, no more calling and calling and calling every time there is a problem, no more taking crap from people because I am "living on their tax money".

I have enough money to make it through August (kind of) and then it will be on with family, I guess, if neither of my two job prospects work out.

I always wondered what I would feel like once I got to this point. I thought I would be depressed but I'm not. I actually feel more relieved than anything.

So sorry to hear that you're a 99er now but it sounds like your dealing with as well as you can. I agree with you I felt a scene of relief when it happened to me also. Now it's time to move on to the next chapter in your life, good luck with the jobs I'm also glad to hear that you have the support of your family. Just something to think about when I knew what my future was going to be I bought a 18ft trailer when I still had money two years ago and have been living in it for a year and a half now. I think it was one on the best decision I ever made in my life without it I would be living on the streets. Blessed be.

Sorry to hear that, lendme. I hope one of those jobs comes through for you. Glad to hear, that like me, you have a supportive family. Keep that positive attitude and don't give up. We will all get through this.
