It's Not the "Administration's Debt Ceiling"!
IT IS NOT THE ADMINISTRATION'S DEBT LIMIT INCREASE... IT'S AMERICA'S DEBT LIMIT INCREASE.
Mr. Boehner, you've already accepted a budget -- the budget that's currently in place running the government -- that depends on raising the debt ceiling. You then voted for another budget -- the Ryan budget -- that also depends on raising the debt ceiling by trillions. And by dint of your position, you, among others, are responsible for the economic damage that failing to raise the ceiling will cause.
I've already explained my position on Cantor's canter from the table, but to take this position is to metaphorically walk away from the table.

LOL, reading an article HuffPo is almost as amusing as reading an article at Fox. Certainly the comments section is equally vitriolic.
I just wish Obama hadn't started by putting Social Security on the table at all. His initial negotiating position should have been revenue increases only. But he can't negotiate for beans.
It sure would be nice to have a Progressive President who wasn't in the pocket of the big corporations.
It sure would be nice to have a Progressive President who had a working pair of testicles.
It sure would be nice to have a Progressive President who actually fought for the interests of working men and women.
It sure would be nice to have a Speaker of the House like Tip O'Neill again, instead of Nancy Pelosi. Oh wait, she's House Minority Leader now...poor baby.
JFK, we miss you. Heck, at this point, I even miss Teddy Kennedy, and I never thought I'd say that.

Well said. What a joke this government has turned into. I am praying that the Pres will not cave, but he is the Commander and Chief, and it will all be on him if they let this baby blowup and do not reach an agreement, or an extension. Of course, he is on record stating he will not sign an extension, so then how is he going to get his own party to budge? Nancy P is going full force with holding strong, not the Pres. I think this will go down to the wire, and in the meantime the economy will go down even faster.

Only 4 million collecting? That doesn't sound right to me.
