UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE WEEKLY CLAIMS REPORT - 418,000 W/E July 2
In the week ending July 2, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 418,000, a decrease of 14,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 432,000. The 4-week moving average was 424,750, a decrease of 3,000 from the previous week's revised average of 427,750.

But soon we'll see the real numbers when those employers said they intend to lay off 44,000 workers in the next couple of weeks! Gas going back up again.. Talks deep cuts in the budget and more! No way things are going to get better.At least anytime soon!

As usual when numbers drop they tend to make it look like good news and things are bouncing back! But they stay over 400K... Not a recovery ! Also jobs created needs to be 200K everymonth to make a recovery.. Unemployment new claims need to be around 300K or so! But as Obama said on his twitter said" we need to make adjustments".. Hell, how many more can we possibly make!
