Yet again they came flooding in, questions from 99ers on twitter to their President, the shadow people who exist seemingly without acknowledgement by employers and their Government. A Government they have paid for, a Government that they have had a hand in choosing.
President Obama never sees the metaphorical outstretched hand of the 99ers during these town halls, never picks the questions from the 6 million consumers who can’t pitch in and help this economy, the soon to be homeless, and the parents of children whose futures never will be. All invisible, all helpless without leaders willing to lead.

Thank you for explaining it to me. My problem is with people who blame Obama and let the GOP slide. You know what you said about Obama at the end of a rope and that was too far. So lets begin again can we?

We do have debtors prisons, so to speak, here in MN. People are being arrested and jailed for unpaid debts. I think it happens elsewhere too. On Startribune.com's investigators section, there is a photo/story of one victim.

We need another WPA in the US and another NEW DEAL! We must hold pat and secure the old FDR NEW DEAL as well as MEDICARE! The kind of government spending that MUST happen is in infrastructure. It injects DEMAND into the system and economy. The government MUST be the employer of last resort which means the government should step in and provide a job to the long term unemployed to get them back to work as well as HUGE investments in Education to re-train American workers for better paying jobs! You are so desperately eager to excuse Obama, that you have resorted to blaming the victims. "Please expend at lease 1/9 of your time searching. I do." that's blaming us, loud and clear, by implying that we do not. Congratulations. You have now descended to the level of the Conservatives.

Obama has murdered Habeas Corpus by signing a death warrant for the execution of a US citizen who has never even been arraigned, let alone given a trial by a jury of his peers. This is a gross violation of his oath of office, in which he swore to "uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America". Excuse that, if you will.

Obama has perpetuated the abuse of the 4th Amendment, among others, by signing the renewal of the bitterly-misnamed "Patriot Act". That too, is a violation of his oath to "uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America". Excuse that, if you will.

The economic stuff, sure you can argue that back and forth. But the two issues listed above are very clear cut violations of basic constitutional rights, which Obama signed, personally. He could have vetoed the Patriot Act renewal, it was his sacred duty to veto it. But he did not.

So, without a lot of emotional distractions, without attacking the messenger, without saying "well, yeah, but the Republicans are worse", let's hear you defend those actions. I'm all ears. But I'm guessing you'll just come back with another emo blast.

??? I spend more time than that job hunting. There aren't enough jobs for the # of job seekers, and most of the job postings don't really seem to exist, as they've been posted/reposted since at least 2007.

As for Obama, he is guilty of ignoring us, as are the rest of our representatives. He draws the line at openly insulting us, though- something not all of our representatives can lay claim to. As for our nation's deterioration: The infrastructure of our nation has been allowed to deteriorate for quite some time. Now we see that in many places, it is rotting. I do believe the problem lies in partisanship, and I do think that anyone choosing the wealth of their party over the health of this nation is committing treason. I don't really understand why political parties exist at all, in this day and age. They only foster corruption.

i took part in the town hall and was disappointed this EXTREMELY serious situation is still flying under the radar. I tweeted a question the night before which was retweeted to more than 400 people and it never came up or was anywhere near being addressed. As i said very disapppointed.

Well the numbers do not lie. They can not continue to ignore 99ers.... Or can they...
